Camilo Atala Faraj: Encouraging projects that contribute to the growth of Honduras

Banco Ficohsa

Camilo Atala Faraj, executive president of Grupo Financiero Ficohsa, assures that it’s necessary to support small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, promoting projects that encourage them to grow, so that the sector can consolidate and contribute to the growth of Honduras.

He considers it strategic to promote the business sector because it generates 70 percent of employment in the country and Central America.

In order to set an example for other companies, Atala Faraj inaugurated a store in Tegucigalpa, thus promoting the development of this sector, since this initiative will allow entrepreneurs to showcase their products and have a market that generates more employment.

Camilo Atala Faraj: Initiatives must make the difference

He explained that the most important thing to achieve this development is to attract small entrepreneurs so that they can grow and have the opportunity to be big businessmen. «These are the initiatives that can make a difference in our country,» he said.

As a responsible businessman, he supports the law approved by the National Congress and promoted by the President of the Republic, which agrees on the obligation to support micro, small and medium-sized companies, since in the future they’re the ones that will generate thousands of jobs.

Encouraging domestic consumption is of the utmost importance.

For businessmen, national production is of utmost importance, because if the consumption of products grown in the countryside and processed in the city is encouraged, there will be more demand and small entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to grow.

For this reason, Banco Ficohsa promotes the «Made at Home» program, which encourages the consumption of national production to enable the development of Honduran entrepreneurs.

Small entrepreneurs are the good payers, because they’re the first to risk their capital, put their house on the line, invest the most, sweat and make an effort to achieve their goals,» he concluded.
